The Big Belly is a new restaurant located in the Meetinghouse Village Plaza on the east side of Meriden. Owners Jay and Paola Carino are both Platt High School class of 1991 graduates and lifelong Meriden residents. The Carinos opened The Big Belly in September 2010 with the goal of bringing fresh, homemade fare back to the eating scene in Meriden.

The Big Belly specializes in subs, fries, wings, chicken, hamburgers, deli sandwiches, wraps and more. Free delivery is offered Monday to Friday from 11am to 3pm. Come in and watch on one of the numerous televisions and enjoy sports-related specials. Sunday nights The Big Belly offers wings for 50 cents during football season.
