Tina's Cafe and Bookshop, a newly opened downtown eatery and shop, holds the honor of being one of the few locations in Naugatuck that has free wireless Internet access (just ask the staff behind the counter for the access code). Tina's Cafe is open daily, providing a full menu of coffee items, other drinks and food. Breakfast items include egg plates and muffins. For lunch, the shop offers made-to-order sandwiches made with Boar's Head-brand meat. Tina Royal, who owns the shop, noted that gluten-free and vegan foods are available and the staff will assist a customer if he or she has a specific food allergy. This two-floor coffee shop has several tables, a flat-screen television and several walls lined with used books. New books are expected to arrive later in 2010, all of which are available for purchase. Three newspaper titles are also available: the Republican-American, the New Haven Register and The New York Times. Royal co-owns Tina's Cafe and Bookshop with Artist and Liri Prevalla.
