Pinocchio Pizza is best known for winning a gold medal for best pizza maker at an invitation-only international competition of more than 800 pizza makers held in Salsomaggiore, Italy, in 2009. "It's a real honor," said Dino DiFabio who, along with his brother Bruno, owns the pizzeria. The shop has been open in New Canaan for six years and in its current location for three, but the brothers DiFabio are fourth generation pizza makers. The secret to a world-championship pizza? "Love and attention," Dino DiFabio says. "Really caring about the pizza is the secret."
