This stylish little restaurant has been in its present location for 15 years, and is well known to residents of the Cranbury section of Norwalk and beyond. Compared with many restaurants that specialize in Chinese cuisine, the menu at Village Gourmet has many of the same dishes. But chef and owner Eric Xie executes them in a way that has won accolades and awards from gourmands throughout Fairfield County. The chef likes to use mango in some dishes, which is a little unusual, and has come up with some original creations, such as wok glazed ginger chicken & shrimp. Lunch specials are available Monday through Saturday, featuring Chinese and South East Asian dishes.
