The wonderful aromas of home-cooked meals greet customers of It's Thyme. Located on Shore Road in Old Lyme, the store is owned by Nancy Sloan, who is known for her comfort food dishes like chicken pot pie and twice-baked potatoes with cheese.

After more than three decades of working in various aspects of the food and catering business, Sloan likes to think of herself now as her customers' personal chef. She will cater a romantic meal for two or a banquet for 300. Ready-to-eat meals are also available that customers can bring home to put in their ovens. The shop features a variety of baked goods, as well.
