New Hartford is very proud of its elementary and intermediate schools. Bakerville School serves kindergarten through grade two children who live in the south part of New Hartford. New Hartford Elementary School serves pre-school through grade two children who live in the north part of town. Ann Antolini School welcomes all grade three through grade six school children.Student achievement as measured on the Connecticut Mastery Tests ranks New Hartford's schools 24 out of 167 towns in our state. All of our teachers are highly qualified, very dedicated, and actively engaged in helping every child succeed. The administrators--Mrs. Kate Rieger, Mr. Steve Nadeau, and Connie Horvath--along with the excellent support staff assure that the schools run smoothly and efficiently.The Parent-Teacher Organization ( PTO ) supports the work of the school system in innumerable ways, but especially with enrichment programming as well as special events and projects. Parents are always welcome in the schools, and there are diverse opportunities for parents and community members to volunteer.
