Since its opening in 2010, Tappo has raised the bar for authentic Italian cuisine in downtown Stamford.  Owners Aldo and Joseph Crisculo take pride in carefully selected ingredients to go into their light, Napolitana-style pizza, crafted by master pizzaiolo Gerardo Mascolo.  The other dishes, such as pastas, secondi and antipastos are made by executive chef Massimo Stecchi.  Mr. Mascolo hails from the Campana region of Italy and Mr. Stecchi from Torino.
