The Wine Chef offers an ample selection of wines. Not to mention, the shop's owner, Doug, loves to talk wine and is quick to point out the quality of the up-and-coming wine trends—varietals from Argentina and Chile. Long-established favorites from California's vineyards are well represented here too. However, The Wine Chef is also well-stocked with beer: domestic and imported as well as handcrafted microbrews. There's also a full line of liquors. Wine tastings are held every Friday. The Wine Chef is also an authorized Connecticut Lottery agent.
