Eat the Rich is an oyster bar by James Beard award nominee Derek Brown and award-winning oysterman Travis Croxton of Rappahannock River Oysters. Featuring local oysters and a menu inspired by the Chesapeake Bay, Eat the Rich is a tribute to mid-Atlantic cuisine and the great oyster houses of Washington, D.C. The kitchen, helmed by chef Andy Clark, offers seafood dishes ranging from smoked trout hash to Wild Tautog. The bar, manned by bartender Ben Matz, serves oyster shooters, classic drinks, and signature pitcher cocktails.
This isn't your typical oyster bar. At Eat the Rich, you can eat, drink and listen to rock music. It's named after a Mötorhead song, after all. Restaurants
