This little "redneck gourmet deli", as the owners describe it, is just off the main track, located behind Bank of America and just east of the giant Healthcare America Medical Group. Come in and try the huge sandwiches made with Boar's Head meats and cheeses (veggie and tuna are also available) and served on bread that's baked fresh daily – with sauces created and bottled by the owner. In addition, you'll find soups and salads on the menu, along with beer and wine.
You can purchase bottles of the original sauces, dubbed Shag's Own, which range from Sweet Heat BBQ to 12-Gauge Fire Zone hot sauce with relishes and mustards in between, to take home and enjoy. Also try a gift box with one to six sauces and throw in the "private-stock" Bloody Mary mix to boot for someone special on your list.
