The penguin hotel is a shining example of 1940s late art deco style which suggests the upcoming international style of the fifties and sixties. Its original name was the golden dawn hotel. The hotel is directly on ocean drive and 14th street the quiet side of miami beach directly across from the beautiful South beach and only a few steps away from lincoln road. The historical preservation of this and the area hotels take you back in time. The penguin hotel is in a prime location- the beach and the park are directly across the street means unobstructed views of the ocean. This is the quieter side of south beach yet within walking distance of shopping- dining and night life south beach has to offer. Our penguin cafe with al fresco dining serves breakfast lunch and dinner offering a healthy variety of foods and daily specials.
