Dave Thomas opened his first Wendy's in 1969.  In November of 2009 Wendy's celebrated its 40th birthday with more than 6,000 stores nationwide and having served this Sarasota location for at least 20 years.  Wendy's offers affordable and quick old fashioned combo meals with your choice of beef, chicken or fish sandwiches, fries and a cola.  If that's too much, they also have a fantastic dollar menu that provides a variety of menu selections that are sure to leave some change in your pocket and a satisfied hunger.
