As you walk in the street-level entry to the downtown Athens Subway, the first thing you notice is the aroma of freshly baked bread. Just like most outlets of the national subshop chain, this Subway is extremely clean. The produce behind the counter looks really fresh and there never seems to be a crush of customers. The staff are very helpful and polite and offer greetings to entering customers. This location of the franchise is above-average, and is a fine location to grab a quick, inexpensive lunch.
