Shockey P'Pool rescued Sophie, a 2-year old tethered dog, in Nashville and helped her find her way to me. She became my greatest friend and companion and inspired me to open Barking Hound Village and to pursue saving as many homeless, companion animals as possible.Sophie celebrated her 20th birthday at the Swan House in Atlanta, on May 8th, 2009. Sylvia Weinstock prepared the beautiful birthday cake in Sophie's likeness, Wolfgang Puck prepared the hors'douvres, Robert Long prepared the flowers and Susan Forehand executed the party perfectly.
