Owned by rapper Chris "Ludacris" Bridges and Singapore-raised chef Chris Yeo, Straits is an Asian-fusion restaurant and bar with a sleek interior and outdoor deck seating at the corner of Juniper and 5th Street. The restaurant is one of five nationally. The other locations are in Burlingame, San Jose, San Francisco and Houston. The menu, developed by Yeo, is a blend of Malaysian, Indonesian, Chinese, Indian and Nyonya cuisine. The restaurant is named after a narrow waterway near Singapore.
