Pepperoni’s Duluth was born from the collaborative efforts of Phil and Bill in 1997. Both Phil and Bill’s Grandparents were in the hospitality business - Phil’s Grandparents owned a “saloon” in Northern Kentucky called “Charlie’s” and Bill’s Grandparents were the proprietors of the “Holly Hotel” in Central Michigan. Both establishments were renowned in their time. As frequently happens, neither Bill nor Phil’s parents continued in the family businesses. The passion returned in the next generation. Both Bill and Phil worked in food service in their teens and had a fortuitous meeting while working for the C.A. Muer Corporation.
