This chain has its roots in a man who was trying to figure out a way to improve his own health. He tried mixing various ingredients in the blender and had great success, prompting him to open a health food store that included smoothies. Now there's Smoothie King, which has expanded to more than 600 locations in the U.S. and Korea.

It's best known for its smoothies, of course, which come in a great variety under the categories of "Stay Healthy," "Trim Down," "Get Energy," "Build Up," "Snack Right," "Indulge," and "Kids' Kups." The store also have "Fit n' Crunchy Bowls" like the Acai Maté Bowl and the Mango Sorbet Bowl. You won't find the energy and protein bars and snacks that you find at its other stores. This one is a small food court location.
