Also available is a wide assortment of fresh fish from all over the world!Mitch’s sushi is owned by Craig Mitchell, who traveled from half-way around the world to make Hawai’i his home. In 1983, he started traveling from his home town in South Africa. After seeing beautiful Hawai’i, he decided it would be his last stop.In 1996, Craig became owner of the Seafood Company where he had been working. Now married to his wife Linda, and a father of two daughters, Kelley and Alex, he decided to relocate his parents from South Africa. Mitch and Yvonne arrived in Hawai’i in April of 1998.Mitch opened a poke shop, surprisingly called “Mitch’s Fish Market”. Sadly, Yvonne passed away in August 2003, and the poke shop became history.Mitch, a person too full of life to retire, needed another career. Craig had always harbored the desire to have a restaurant. In July of 2004, Mitch’s Sushi Restaurant was born. With Craig’s supply of fresh fish and the remarkable skill of master chefs Hideo Mitsui and Masakazu Murakami, both originally from Japan, your meal will be memorable. The restaurant is relatively small, seating only fifteen, so reservations are highly recommended.Mitch’s does not have a liquor license, so please b.y.o.b.!Come down, meet Mitch, relax, and enjoy this simply delicious family-owned sushi bar!
