Green Grounds Cafe is a coffee shop that also sells ice cream, Italian sodas, sandwiches and unique retail items such as handmade jewelry and craft items. Located adjacent to Mhuka Designs in the center of historic Valley Junction, GGC functions as the Valley Junction area study and meeting center where friends go to meet over an ice cream cone or a cup of joe. Owner Isa O'Hara tries to run her business as eco-friendly as possible, using organic and locally-produced ingredients including Des Moines' own Java Joes' coffee.
