The West End DIner started out in Clive in 1992 as a part of the Drake diner franchise. The diner exchanged hands few times before finally settling in its current location in the City of West Des Moines in 2001. 8 years later the Lee family took over the diner. Jay and Betty were confident in the Diner's traditions of quality food and friendly atmosphere but had many ideas to expand on those traditions. They continue to keep the basic theme of the Diner, with it's 50's atmosphere and Home Style Comfort foods, while bringing in fresh ideas. They strive not to be just your neighborhood diner but more an extension of everyones' dining rooms. Bringing family and friends together.
