Famously named after Dick Portillo's wife and kids—Portillo calls his wife Honey and J-A-M represents his three kids (Joseph, Anthony and Michael)—Honey-Jam Cafe is Portillo's venture into the world of breakfast. The Bolingbrook location is the third in the Chicagoland area and is located behind the Portillo's Hot Dogs restaurant at the intersection of Boughton Road and Route 53. Honey-Jam serves up a wide-variety of just about any breakfast food you can think of—eggs, skillets, pancakes, specialty plates, omeletes, crepes, waffles and French toast along with the typical breakfast sides. Phone ahead for carry-out.
