The younger brother of Michael's Chicago-Style Red Hots in Highland Park, this Buffalo Grove location has been open for fifteen years. Though famous for hot dogs, Michael's menu offers a variety of food, including gyros, burgers, rotisserie chicken and half a dozen salads. Available for events and catering, Michael's also holds birthday parties and bar mitzvahs. Similar to its Highland Park location, Michael's offers plenty of cafeteria-style seating and a few outdoor tables for the summer months. Television sets hang above the dining area, but quieter nooks of the restaurant are also available. Always family-friendly, a huge kid's menu hangs above the counter. Vegetarian options are available. Michael's is located in a corner store of the Woodlands Commons, across from Wendy's.
