A 100 percent employee-owned company, Martin & Bayley was founded by Bob Martin and Frank Bayley in 1960. The pair initially opened supermarkets in small towns in southern Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee. In 1974 the company opened its first convenience store in Grayville, Ill. It now operates more than 150 convenience stores each branded with the Huck s name throughout the Midwest United States, including Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana and Missouri. Each Huck s location offers gasoline, food, made-to-order sub sandwiches and salads, Godfather s pizza, fried chicken, deli sandwiches, breakfast items, fountain sodas and a variety of other prepackaged and fresh food. Martin & Bayley has headquarters in Carmi, Ill.
