Twenty years ago, we responded to Champaign-Urbana’s need for an espresso bar away from the bustle and politics of the University. And though a handful of cafes have sprouted in our wake, none have quite surpassed our warmth and charm. Kopi has become the spot where the creative and enterprising minds of the city convene, and our success has made us integral to the current effort to revitalize Downtown Champaign. Consistently voted the best cafe in the area, Cafe Kopi offers gourmet coffees, a full cappuccino bar, a wide selection of loose teas, fresh pastries, and light lunch fare of sandwiches and salads. Our specialty menu consists of blended frappes, fruit smoothies, and seasonal drinks, like hot Caramel Cider and Pumpkin Spice Chai. We recently added two grab & go display cases filled with sandwiches, cheeses, deli salads, desserts, and a variety of snacks, like chips, energy bars, trail mixes, and yogurt. In addition, we have a small kid's menu and gluten-free options. Situated in two big rooms with the original wood flooring and light fixtures, we offer free wireless internet and host monthly art displays by local artists in an eclectic, cozy environment.
