The current incarnation of Chicago Bagel Authority opened for business on June 12th, 1998. .CBA is modeled after Bagel & Deli at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Go there one day. It’s the steamed bagel mecca!.The original CBA occupied the same location from 1991-1994. Thanks Alan & Charlotte!In 1999 Hector Alizondo ate two hard boiled egg whites with salt and pepper off of a piece of aluminum foil. .Jan 1st, 2000 our Panisonic POS system was declared Y2K-bug free.June 2nd, 2005 we bought the damned building. It was tough to get, but we got it.June, 2005 Andrew Hughes won “The Sandwich that Saved CBA” contest with his entry, “The Bacon Boat to Turkey Town.Between Jan 1st, 1998 and the present CBA assembled one of the greatest staffs in foodservice history! I’m not sure how, but it happened!
