True "Chicago boys," 22-year-old George and 27-year-old John Rayyan grew up in the Northwest suburb of Niles, where they developed an interest in the food business at a young age in an extended family of restaurateurs. Prior to opening Papa Ray's first location, George and John gained industry experience as partners in the popular Pinocchio's Pizza eateries. In 2010, the brothers opened Papa Ray's, a namesake of their father Ray, and have quickly positioned it as a go-to for fast, fresh and tasty food in Logan Square.
