Evanston 1st Liquors is one of only a few liquor stores in Evanston, which remained a dry town until 1972. After the prohibition was lifted, this was the first liquor store to open, hence the name. Evanston 1st Liquors has an expansive selection of wines, beers and spirits. It also stocks a nice selection of cigars or food items to pair with the beverages. Evanston 1st Liquors is located on Davis Street near the heart of the Northwestern campus, and has free parking in the rear of the building.
