Kafein is a late-night coffee hangout usually filled by the Northwestern student population and their laptops. The atmosphere is unique, as there is original artwork throughout the store, a juke box, outdoor seating and a very full bookcase. On each table there are Trivial Pursuit cards, so there is always something to do. Certain weeknights feature open mic nights, comedy shows or bands. The staff is young and hip, the vibe very casual and it's a nice spot to get some work done. The drink menu is also huge and there are a lot of unique and original creations featured. The food menu consists of sandwiches and pie options - many of them vegetarian.
