If you are looking for a romantic, Chinese-food dining experience in the North Shore, Jade China Bistro may be your best bet. On a Friday night, when you've got a craving for for a Schezwan or a YuHsiang dinner that is way beyond take-out, this is the place to come. Rumor is, this spot draws the dating crowd on weekends. Start with a Shanghai Scallion Pancake, then move on to the Seared King Salmon or Beijing Duck. If you're a health buff, a Baby Bok Choy side order might be a good idea.

Here, you also don't have to fuss about what bottle of wine to bring -- especially because there's a $25 corkage fee. Owner Andy Lee is a connoisseur of fine wine, and the restaurant has an excellent selection that compliments its stated 1930s Shanghai elegance. Be sure to dress appropriately.
