Kaminari, located in Cedar Ridge Plaza, presents an unassuming face to the outside world. But inside is a slice of hip heaven, with cool music, a downtown decor and the energy of a restaurant that knows its excellence has been discovered and is being sustained by a loyal clientele. You can sit at the sushi bar, a table or a secluded back booth. The menu is everything you would expect from a high-octane sushi restaurant, with enough surprises to keep you coming back. Your taste buds will be in for a scalding if you order Fire Mountain, made of tuna, salmon and crab, or the Black Widow, which mixes wasabi heat with eel and soft-shell crab. As for the main menu, you can order all manner of combinations of yellowtail, snow crab, tuna or a lobster tail grilled in Bacardi 151.
