I come from a long line of “made from scratch” cooks. From my earliest memories, I can remember standing on a chair in my mother’s kitchen and watching her wide eyed measure and stir. I can not think of any time in my life that I have not wanted to work with food. From planning any meal whether it is simple or elaborate to setting an eye appealing table to serving a mouth watering dinner, I enjoy every minute of the food preparation and dining process.Food puts smiles on faces and brings family and friends together. I think the kitchen is the center of every home. It is where we eat, reminisce and pray. When I was a very young girl, my grandfather asked me if I would bake him a pie if he bought me a rolling pin. I said “You bet!” Thus between the ripe old age of 11 and 12 years my pie baking enterprise began and deep down in my heart so did Karen’s Kitchen & Catering.
