The company, founded by Cincinnati native Mike Cunningham, has seen tremendous growth in the past 11 years. Boulder Creek Dining Company, an upscale, casual restaurant with mountain lodge décor, was the company’s first restaurant and opened in Brownsburg in 1997. Following the success of Boulder Creek, Cunningham moved to Avon in 1999 to open Charbonos, which welcomes guests to the Tuscan countryside and serves up ample portions of salads, pastas featuring housemade sauces, tender steaks and wood-fired pizzas.
