Randy Repass founded West Coast Ropes in 1975. Several incarnations and over a decade later, in 1987, West Marine emerged in the form of a 330 page catalogue. Since then it's grown into a retail outlet chain with over 300 locations and has absorbed two major competitors, E&B Marine and BoatU.S., along the way. West Marine is one stop shopping for boating supplies, from electronics to safety gear, fishing equipment, sailboat necessities, navigation tools and on. This location hosts occasional 'flea market' style sales and has a huge parking lot.
