Locals know to get to Canto early--it's not uncommon for this popular bakery to run out of their coveted chocolate croissants quickly, especially on weekends. Beyond fresh pastries, however, Canto offers much more: Sandwiches, soups, Equal Exchange coffee, relaxing music and a cool, neighborhood vibe. There's a tiny section of seats, but most customers get their goods to go. All bakery items are prepared in house, except for the bread which is delivered daily from acclaimed Clear Flour Bread in Brookline.
