There are more than 30 fire stations in Anne Arundel County, and this fire station on Jennifer Road, next to the detention center and near Anne Arundel Medical Center, is home to Company 40. Its dedicated team of volunteer fire fighters responds to calls in the greater Annapolis area as well as the city and are frequently called in to assist surrounding departments.

Tours of the West Annapolis Volunteer Fire Department station are available to all citizens and can be arranged by calling the county's public education office at  410-222-8303.
