Our family-owned restaurant features contemporary cuisine, around the world specialities, fresh sushi, and a hand-picked beer and wine list for you to enjoy in what we hope is a pleasant experience. The spirit of this place is captured by our namesake: Tanuki. In tradtional areas of Japan, the Tanuki is a symbol of hospitality and good times. We have been told that our Tanuki, located in our window, started life outside a sake bar in Kobe, Japan about a hundred years ago. He is a prime specimen, complete with his pouch to hold Your money and his jar to hold Your sake.
