Located along the central lake of the RIO Complex in Gaithersburg, Rio Grande Cafe offers local residents a wide selection of traditional as well as unique Mexican dishes in a fun atmosphere.

Rio Grande features an appetizer of the day, every day: Monday: Spinach Quesadillas; Tuesday: Queso Flameado con Chorizo, and so on; a unique flavor for each day of the week.

Lunch offerings include fajitas, camarones, quesadillas and platters and dinner entrees range from meat-topped salads and traditional fare to one of Rio's unique listings, frog legs. Desserts include flan, cajetas and sopapillas.

A major highlight of the Rio Grande Cafe is the bar  — offering frozen margaritas and sangria, as well as numerous beers, wines and liquors. This bar is always packed and offers a number of happy hour specials on weekdays, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
