We are proud to be celebrating 32 years in Ocean City, Maryland. In the summer of 1980, Jack and his partner decided to open a specialty restaurant, featuring barbequed ribs in Ocean City, Maryland. Ribs were a brand new food item, so before they could present them to the public, the partners traveled to Texas, to Florida, and to Virginia to put together J/R's now famous barbeque sauce. Then they searched the meat markets to find exactly the right cuts of meat that were exactly what they wanted to serve their customers.
