PNC Bank is part of PNC Financial Services Group, one of the largest financial institutions in the country, with its retail banking footprint primarily in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwestern states. PNC is one of the nation's top 10 mortgage lenders/wealth managers and a top small-business lender, according to the bank. The Pittsburgh-based company owns 25% of asset-management firm BlackRock, which offers products including mutual funds and the iShares exchange-traded funds. The company says it donated more than $50 million to local communities in 2009. This Annapolis Road branch was formerly a branch of Citizens National Bank, a community bank group acquired by PNC in 2006, when it purchased Mercantile Bankshares Corp.
