Since opening in 1989, Silver Diner has received local, national and international print and television coverage, including an article in the October 1990 Forbes magazine featuring 'The 200 Best Small Companies in America.' The company operates 1950s style diners complete with neon and chrome fixtures, booths and jukeboxes. Silver Diner restaurants serve traditional homemade meatloaf, fresh turkey with mashed potatoes, soups, sandwiches, burgers and blue-plate specials along with contemporary selections such as Cajun Chicken Pasta, Mesquite and Lime Marinated Grilled Salmon and Veggie Stir Fry with Portobello Mushrooms. The first restaurant in this chain of casual dining, family diners opened in Rockville, Md. Silver Diner operates more than 17 restaurants in Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
