Owner Jim Williams saw a need for an upscale liquor store in what he calls an "upscale neighborhood," so he opened Top Shelf in February 2010. The store's selections range from major domestic beers to the priciest selection, a $280 bottle of Cristal champagne. Williams tries to carry a wide range of local products whenever he can, including Boordy Vineyards wines and the popular Resurrection Ale.
