Captain Frank Swift established Maine's first passenger schooner fleet while living in this white clapboard village landmark inn. Originally built for lumber merchant Simon Hunt during the presidency of James Madison, our house retains it's wonderful wide pine floors, chair rails, exposed beams, intricate moldings, and five fireplaces; one with a beehive oven.
