Party Cakes is a family-owned and operated business located in the southern section of downtown Berkley. Jody and Valerie Jackett run this business, which specializes in pastries and other homemade desserts, including homemade buttercream icing, chocolate buttercream icing, icing rose petals, handmade sugar bells, and computer graphics to personalize cakes. 

Cakes flavors include chocolate, banana, carrot, maraschino cherries, walnuts, butter, and cocoa. Special orders are available for wedding cakes (brides can call ahead for a free sample plate), theme cakes, cheese cakes (strawberry, lemon curd, drunk version made with Bailey's Irish Crème or Kahlua), and cookies by design.

Other items available at Party Cakes, include cookies, brownies, tortes, and muffins made fresh daily. There are also rum balls, cake truffles, cannolis, tiramisu, or fruit bars available.

This business is also the winner of blue ribbons at the Michigan State Fair for decorating techniques and its banana cake batter.
