Wintergarden Tavern East is located on Gratiot Ave just south of 21 Mile Rd on the west side of the road. It is an upscale sports bar with old world charm. It has giant murals on the walls depicting scenes from the 1930s, a huge fire place, outdoor seating, pool tables and darts. Another room features a horse shoe shaped bar and a friendly atmosphere. The food is excellent, with huge portions (try the nachos) and a daily lunch special that is buy one, get one free. The drafts are reasonably priced, and the ambience makes it feel as if you are in two separate taverns, one an old world chalet with dancing, pool tables and darts the other a Cheers-style sports bar. The original locaton is on 7 Mile and Farmington roads in Livonia.
