The Esper Library is the smallest of Dearborn's four branches, but is unique in its media offerings and family-focused programming. In addition to books, magazines, newspapers and multimedia, the Esper Branch also houses a vast selection of media in Arabic, including newspapers. It also features weekly story times for youth in the winter, spring and fall, as well as several summer reading programs.

Originally called the Warren Branch, it was renamed in 1961 in honor of Dearborn councilman Anthony Esper, who served the city for twenty-four years. The Esper family had also once farmed the land where the library now sits.
