Home The Student Alumni Foundation also known at the time as Stu-Fu, was founded in the fall of 1976 by MSU Development Fund. During the early 80's Stu-Fu claimed to involve more than 2, 000 students each school yar. It was composed of a 30 member Steering Committee; a president, 6 vice presidents, and 24 event coordinators. The Stu-Fu office was located at 220 Nisbet Building, 1407 Harrison Road. The Student Alumni Association was founded by the Senior Class Council in 1979. The main reason for forming this organization was to help fulfill the many student and alumni needs which were not met by current organizations. Initially six individuals were selected to develop the SAA into a vital student organization at MSU. In 1986, a revised Constitution marked the introduction of what we currently know as the MSU Student Alumni Foundation. With a new home in the Union, Stu-Fu and SAA, two major student organizations merged. The programs and events SAA and Stu-Fu sponsored seperatly in the past, like Spartan Ambassadors, are now successfully run by SAF.
