Marisa(Owner) was raised in Southwest Detroit. She graduated from Western International Highschool in 1985. She has been in the catering business for over fifteen years. In 1991 she start her own catering buisness(Tijuana's) working from her home; by 1995 she established a full service restaurant(Tijuana's Mexican Kitchen) with catering service in Detroit. In 2003 she moved her business to Lincoln Park, MI. Marisa takes pride in her work and shows it by PERSONALLY delivering the catering jobs along with her staff! In 2009 she opened another restaurant called Tijuana's Express in Southgate, MI offering free delivery, being one of the few mexican restaurants that offer this service. Her restaurant(Tijuana's Mexican Kithcen) is known for its award winning salsa. Most of the dishes were created by her and her mother with family recipes.
