Our restaurant opened its doors in June of 2006 and was an immediate hit in downtown Traverse City. Hungry shoppers, walkers, and business people can now dine in, take out or walk up to the window for a whole pizza or just a slice. We offer a wide variety of specialty pizzas, salads, sandwiches, soups and appetizers all made with the freshest ingredients and with flavors of the seven continents in mind. We also have a liquor license so that our guests can enjoy a nice cold beer or a fine glass of wine pared with their gourmet pizza. In planning Pangea's, we considered several different concepts, a sandwich shop, a '50s diner, and a gourmet restaurant before finally deciding that a new type of pizzeria would best create the unique and friendly eatery we were looking for. We wanted a fun and interesting atmosphere where everyone can enjoy delicious food and experience the tastes of different lands. Pangeas is a family owned and operated business. When we are not in the restaurant, you are likely to see us in the area walking our two golden retrievers. Pangea's Pizza is different and delicious. The inviting walk up window and snack bar is perfect if you are shopping, walking or working downtown and need a quick meal or snack. On nice days in the spring, summer or fall you can even enjoy your meal outside at one of the restaurants sidewalk cafe tables. If you dine inside you ll most likely be greeted by one of us.
