Back in 1940, Dick and Mac McDonald opened a BBQ drive-in restaurant that sold hamburgers for 15 cents. McDonald's restaurant was founded eight years later in 1948 and the rest is history. Today, 75% of the restaurants are independently owned and operated. There are two local locations, one just outside Eden Prairie Center and this one in the food court at the mall. Customers can relax after a long day of shopping to feast on an Angus Bacon Cheeseburger followed by desserts like the hot caramel sundae.
