Dakota County Receiving Center is located on the grounds of the Minnesota Veteran's Home campus. Two detox units and Cochran Programs are components of this corporation. Detox is a sub-acute medical detoxification center benefiting more than 10 county metropolitan areas and numerous other counties. The Cochran House is a nearly 60-bed halfway house for men 18 years and older. It offers issue-specific men's groups, workshops, financial planning, job seeking skills and placement, transportation and adult education seminars. The Cochran Center is an extended care facility that provides long-term residential treatment services within a structured living environment for men 18 years and older. Program components are grounded in teaching relapse prevention strategies, developing abstinent living skills and becoming self-sufficient. The Cochran Recovery Center is an inpatient treatment program that serves both males and females over the age of 18 with chemical dependency and mental health issues.
